How the result is calculated
The browser plays the complete bounded local MP4 silently at normal speed, routes its decoded audio through a same-origin AudioWorklet and encodes mono or stereo MP3 frames with the separate unmodified @breezystack/lamejs 1.2.7 LGPL-3.0 JavaScript encoder. It does not download hosted media; files without a decodable audio track are rejected, and tags, artwork, chapters and video are not retained.
